Remember that post about my doctor meaninglessly prescribing Vyvanse?

....

I found a prescription, when I was helping my mother with hers, in our medicine cabinet... It was some really old expired methylphenidate...

What?...

I do not have any memory of being prescribed this.... It was from when I was in 4th or 3rd grade? I remember the going to the doctor, because my mother was wondering about my tapping my fingers in synchronously... I learned it from the neighbor, but he said I would out grow it? Sorry... This memory may not be accurate. That's the only time I remember going to the doctor, not being sick...

Again... What? Should I ask her? Also, what if I don't know about a previous med, and then when my pdoc asks, what do I say?

Could just say what you found and discuss it with your Pdoc as described. If it's something from childhood and you honestly don't remember, when does the statute of limitations with disclosure of medical history end?

Is it possible that your mom tried it, discovered that it causes sleeplessness in you, and stopped it?

That's quite possible. I was never easy to sleep in the first place.

I think I will just bring it up. It was just so weird I don't remember lol
