Can Citalopram and Wellbutrin make you feel emotionally numb? I'm on 40 mg Celexa and 150 mg Wellbutrin for months and I feel completely empty and numb, no feeling at all. It's so bad I can't have any sense of empathy or compassion for other people, my friends when speaking with them about their own health issues. Hell I couldn't even feel bad when my own mother had a heart attack.

I seem to be falling back into a pattern of sleeping too much and have occasional passive suicidal thoughts but no plans. I swear if I saw someone get killed in a car accident I wouldn't even be able to have any emotion.

Citalopram made me feel mentally detached and numb as well. I've been on effexor 75mg xr for almost a week and i have noticed the side effects are waaaayyy less than citalopram. Hope that helps!!!

Thanks for your response, I'm definitely going to bring it up. I can't stand this anymore.

I agree - I sounds like the meds you're on aren't the best for you. In my experience, feeling somewhat numbed by meds is common, but definitely not to the degree you've described, nutters.
