These meds bring someone to normalcy alright. So normal that person becomes a completely different "normal" person. At least that's what they do to me. Keeps the voices and moods away but look who's rendered creatively stupid. My question is, has this happened to anyone else on either Lithium or Geodon or both or is just my unique case?

P.S: Lithium is supposed to reduce suicidal thoughts, right? Well...

I found Lithium, Geodon, Abilify, etc. all took away my creativity, made me have some memory problems & "foggy" thinking, but I guess with me the side effects are worth not having the severe depressions (like the manias--well, hypo-mania at least--miss those). Lithium did take away my suicidal thoughts, but you might not be at a therapeutic dose yet. The doc will be able to tell by a blood test. Unfortunately, I had kidney malfunction on Lithium so I had to get off it.--Suzy

You're right, Geodon does make you a completely different person. I have no imagination and have also suffered memory losses. My family doesn't like the "new" me, but at least I'm stable which matters more to me.

Good luck.

Me personally I would prefer to be wandering around speaking to God and Satan in my head.
