Hi everyone!
I've been taking Seroquel and Zyprexa for a while now, and I've begun to notice a change in my short and long term memory. I forget really basic things that I should be able to do or know. Like, I forgot how to tie my shoes once. The memory always comes back, but in the moment I have no idea what it is. I sometimes spell things phonetically too, when I know the actual spelling. It's like: Floor = Flore Originally = Orijinaly Tried = Tryed I mix words up a lot, use incorrect words, get what I'm trying to say all out in a mess of incomprehensible gibberish. I've always had problems with psychosis, but as of late, a little before I started taking my meds again, my Schizophrenia took an exponential drop, went from a 6 to a -6 in a month or so. I'm not sure if this is fault of my medicine, or because my disorganized speech and thinking is getting worse. Did anyone else experience this on Seroquel, Zyprexa, or both?

I had experience with Zyprexa and I had definite memory and motor problems. It was a very heavy drug for me.
I have a friend that takes 15mg and loves it....nothing else works as well for him. He's been on it for more than 10 years. His memory is effected though. I can tell because I teach him guitar and some songs we've been playing together for 15 years he now can't remember how to play. Last edited by tydygy; Jun 28, 2016 at 07:37 AM. Reason: spelling |
