I have been on Risperdal now for a week and 2 days. I've gained 10 pounds. In all fairness, when I started getting real bad, my mom came up Monday so I've been eating out with her and eating pretty good meals each day. She left yesterday and then I had a date last night so of course I ate a good bit of the chicken wrap then, but I'm a little freaked because of the weight gain. I hope it gets better next week. I plan to not eat much and really watch it until Thanksgiving. I will let myself splurge a little then. It's so frustrating because the Risperdal calms me down and I can't really give it up. It worked so well a few years ago and as far as moods go, still works today. Unfortunately, it and Seroquel work best for me and Seroquel blows me up. Man, I hope this weight thing stops soon and goes back down to what it is.

I'm on risperdal and zyprexa. For me, the zyprexa was far worse with weight gain. When I was on risperidone alone I was able to lose a significant amount of weight with dieting alone. I'm hoping I can do the same now.
