I've been on Viibryd for about 3 weeks. Started on 10mg then moved up to 20mg. It seems to be helping a lot but when the dose jumped from 20mg to 40mg I had a severe panic attack. I felt really weird and my heart was racing and ended up into a full blown panic attack. For safety I had my mom come over to help me with my daughter when I first noticed I wasn't feeling normal. I started yelling at her call 911 thinking I was going to have a seizure or something.
I'm on Adderall 20mg twice daily. I felt strange before taking it but the Adderall seemed to throw me over the edge. I get really nervous about serotonin syndrome. I'm also on Gabapentin 400mg three times per day. The Gabapentin usually does the trick with anxiety but it didn't help me in this situation at all. I don't know if anyone has any experience with this or similar medications. Online said Adderall and Viibryd together could cause serotonin syndrome. They say its rare.. But how rare is it? |

In severe cases, serotonin syndrome can be life-threatening. If you experience any of these symptoms, you or someone with you should seek medical attention immediately:
High fever Seizures Irregular heartbeat Unconsciousness I got this from this link: Serotonin Syndrome: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatments so I guess if you have any of the above symptoms, you need medical treatment asap Do you think this was a panic attack, and not serotonin syndrome as I'm sure you'd still be unwell and probably in hospital by now if it was serotonin syndrome?
