I saw my new Therapist today...and he prescribed me Prozac 20Mg and Klonopin .25Mg Both prescribed for Anxiety and panic disorder

I have to take Prozac in the morning with a klonopin ( kpin is to calm me because I have a phobia of taking meds....odd I know) I have to take a .25Mg klonopin in the morning one in the after noon...and a .5 at bedtime...So stupid...

anyway I have a BAD PHOBIA OF TAKING MEDS like hardcore...and i told the T that and I guess he didnt care, and he said I need to take these meds or he cant help me...And my dad said I cant live here anymore If I dont try these meds, cause weve seen so many diff docs and T's and they all p'd me meds...idk what to do...

What does the Prozac make you feel like? what are the side effects? how long will it last in your body after taking it once? Thanks

Everybody's body can react different to medications.I was lucky I was in the hospital when they put me on Prozac, because my experience with Prozac was a nightmare,it made me violent, I would just haul off and deck someone just for walking past me in the hallway. I didn't know what was wrong with me. They ended up putting me in wrist to waist restraints,so I couldn't hit anyone. I had really bad nightmares that were filled with violence, and just morbidity. Finally the doctor realized that my violence started with the Prozac,so they took me off of it to see what would happen, and within a few day's I was back to normal, non-violent. So I get a reaction from it,but I've heard a lot of other people that take it,that it really helps them a lot. So you see, some people it's a good drug for,and some it's not. Prozac has been around for a long time.If anyone asked me to recommend it,I wouldn't.
I would recommend Zoloft in it's place,it has less side effects, and I believe is more effective.I think they should have Blackboxed Prozac years ago!And taken it off the shelves permanently! Just because of the fact that it can cause the side-effect of violent behavior!
