I am on invega for mania/anxiety and my depressive psychosis. One thing I've noticed is that it doesn't do ANYTHING. For me. It has annoying side effects, but doesn't treat anything. I was going to try clozaril, because I've had this with other meds. Sometimes I wonder if I have miscommunicated with my doctors and am not psychotic? Anyways I was going to talk with my doctor about going on haldol decanoate injection because I don't like the particular side effects of the invega, and plus, it doesn't treat (like most everything) my psychosis. Any pros/cons for haldol vs invega? I was on lithium 450mg 2x/day and clozaril 100 2x/day only and I attempted suicide because it was like I didn't exist then. I don't mind my psychosis, but will haldol work better?

As much as I like to think I have a working knowledge of some meds, I would not try to give you recommendations for meds. What I would strongly recommend is that you voice your concerns to your prescribing doc and tell them how the meds are working or not working.

You won't know until you try it. Meds work differently for everyone. For example Invega works great for me with no side effects.
