I'be been on Lexapro for a year now and I've noticed over the past few months I wake up absolutely exhausted and very groggy.
Could this be a side effect of Lexapro? |

I guess it could. I used to take Lexapro in the morning and it didn't do anything. It was like eating M&Ms.
One day I wondered why I even bothered and I just stopped taking them. No discontinuation syndrome or anything. It was just a bottle of...nothing.

Eleny - It could be a side effect. You should probably talk to your psychiatrist about this first though. Please don't stop taking your meds abruptly. I've done that (accidentally - I used to be really bad at remembering to take my meds until I got an app on my phone that helped remind me) and it wasn't good. Now I'm on a few extra meds as well as Lexapro, and I have been tired.
That said, I do work night shift hours so that could have an effect on how I feel. You may want to look at what your schedule is like. Maybe try to get an extra hour of sleep in? Or a nap? Either way I hope you find what works for you. ![]() |
