So my pdoc just prescribed me viibrid.
Any and all experiences or advice concerning this med is highly welcome.

I been on many depression meds over the years (prozac, abilify, zoloft, lamictal, effexor, lithium, and lexapro). Zoloft was my well working good buddy for 4 years, until my body got used to it, and after that lexapro worked well for about a year until it pooped out. Many of the others were just a trip.

I have IBS, so I'm a good bit worried that my tummy will throw a royal tantrum when I start tomorrow. (It sure did on the lithium.)

But one can hope for the best, right?

Been on viibryd for about 4 months.. started out great then started having brain zaps, serious migraine like symptoms (w/ no history of them), confusion, virtago, few day periods where I cannot stay awake. I'm currently tapering down but it's really difficult. I don't understand why these symptoms would start so many months after starting the med. After having so many issues with it I decided to look up other people's reviews of the med and it seems to be common. I had sleep paralysis once and it was so scary. When I explained the brain zaps in the ER they didn't seem to believe me. This drug is new and many doctors have no clue about its side effects. Make sure to keep a log of any symptoms and don't start anything new while taking this for a while so you can be sure where any symptoms may be coming from.

For now they are bringing me down to 20mg. I'm hoping it will work out because it really seemed to be helping with my depression but these side effects are harsh. Don't discriminate the med based on my or others reviews, just keep aware. It could work better for you than for others. Viibrid?

I've been on 10mg for 3 months now. I have a PDoc appointment tomorrow and I'm sure the dosage will go up. I am not seeing any real improvement in my depression, not lately at least. It started good, but then it kinda plateau'd. I think I'll be titrated up starting tomorrow.

3 months is a long time to be on 10mg. Did they give you the starter pack? The starter pack had me on 10mg for 1 week. I felt most improvement after I got to 20mg. But maybe it's better that they went slowly. Perhaps your doctor has more experience with this drug and wanted to be safe.

She wants to slowly increase my the meds because I have an issue with getting manic when things are increased too fast. I start 20mg tomorrow.
