Exactly a month ago my psychiatrist upped my ability from 2mg to 5 mg. About a week ago I started binging. Nothing seems to satisfy my hunger. The other time I noticed this was when I began two months ago. But Why would this come back all of a sudden? Does it only get worse? It is stressing me out so much.

For me, yes, it only has gotten worse. I see pdoc in March and plan to get off my 5 mg daily dose.
Thanks for this!

I was on 10mg for over a year, and recently increased to 15 mg. I don't really have the same binging that I used to, on Zyprexa and some of the others. But I'm not active for physical reasons so it's hard for me to reduce my weight.
Thanks for this!

I'm so sorry you are going through this too. But please be careful, is there anyway you can see your doctor to tapper?

I had a problem a few weeks or so into my abilify. I noticed that I couldn't walk as fast on the treadmill, nor could I walk as far as I usually do, and I couldn't seem to stop munching on snacks. It was driving me nuts!

I told my pDoc about the problem & he decided to take me down to taking it every other day, then twice per week. Abilify has a very long half-life. I've been on the 5 mg/s twice per week for a year or so now. And those horrible side effects have gone away for me, thankfully.

I have an appointment in a month or so. I can't get in sooner.

I filled my prescription today so I suppose I will be on it for another month.

Interesting that you can take it only a couple days a week. Maybe I could stand that.

I didn't realize that you can take it every other day either, but after some googling it seems common. I'm debating doing the same thing.

I really hope you find some meds that help and don't effect you the way abilify does. It's really difficult to deal with.

Abilify was weight neutral for me. Same with Geodon.
