My name is Deborah and my Pyschiatrist has given Luvox
(fluvoxamine 50mg) take 1 three times a day. I take methadone for pain 280mg and have been for thirteen years because I have serious back problems and from my understanding he is giving me Luvox to decrease how much methadone I am taking. Does this make any sense to anyone? I am not having depression problems and I know they sometimes give it for OCD. I have not been diagnosed with either Depression or OCD. He says it will increase the amount of methadone and feels like by taking this medication I can decrease the amount I am taking of the methadone/ I personally don't believe this is a great idea. What do you think? I would like to know if any of you have taken it and how it made you feel? I may get frustrated and depressed at times due to exogenous sources but not from endogenous, but I don't believe from what He said it was given to me for Depression but because He preferred not to increase my methadone dose. I have been om 280mg Methadone for 3.5 years that I take once daily for pain. I have started going into withdrawal before my morning dose. I start yawning, eyes watering, muscles aching and I start having muscle jerks. He thought it would help my withdrawal symptoms -so can any of you who have taken it tell me what you think of it and how it made you feel? I heard it was difficult to stop taking and did any of you find this to be true? |
