Hi
Diagnosed BP2 / dysthymia I was a coder before, I can code some program with clarity of thoughts.now I feel I lost the abilities.I can't code anymore. my brain is stuck. I had been Valdoxan before about one month. During that time, my brain ran again. I can coded like I used to. but just few days it wears off. and then I changed the Valdoxan to another med. I have no idea how this happened, some doctor said that was the hypomania. I don't know is the mental disease effects my abilities so much? or I am on hypomania... |

Hello thebigfoot: I'm sorry... I don't quite understand your post. But I saw no one had replied to your post, so I thought I would.
It sounds like you were on one med... Valdoxan... & you changed to another med. You used to be able to code & now you feel you've lost your focus. So you're wondering if it is the medication or your hypomania. I'm not familiar with Valdoxan & I really would not be in a position to say whether what you are experiencing is a result of the med's you're taking or your hypomania. The most that I can say is that when I have changed med's, in the past, I have experienced quite a bit of "brain fog" for a period of time until my body & brain adjusted to the new medication. So it's possible that what you are experiencing is simply due to the med's you're taking. Beyond that, I would think the best thing to do might be to discuss your concerns with your prescribing physician. ![]()
