I get these, um...I don't know what to call them exactly, but they are like sudden sharp jolts in my brain that make me feel all light headed for a second or two. They usually happen when my body is low on chemicals given to it by my meds. I think the neuro receptors in my nervous system are in shock or withdrawal or something. I notice them especially when I miss a dose. It's actually helpful to remind me to take my meds right away as it's the first symptom I get when I miss taking them.
Anyone else get these?

I've heard of this when people are withdrawing from Effexor.
Brain jolts.

Yes, this has happened.
I used to have trouble taking my meds at the same time or even rmembering to at all. I now have them bubble wrapped. For some reason this helps. Not sure about there but my pharmacy does it for free. It just makes it easier to maintain a routine. I wonder if this might help you too? |

Yep, brain zaps. They tend to happen from missing a dose of an ssri or a benzo.

Yes. I get them if I'm more than a few hours late in taking Effexor. Also extreme irritability that can border on rage. Things they don't tell you when they prescribe Effexor. I think it happens w/ other SNRI meds as well. A low dose of Prozac really helps to ease this effect.

Yes to brain zaps.
I didn't have those but those are common. I always had withdrawals with Effexor. I was always craving the next dosage to come. Had withdrawals 2-3 hours every day on it. |

brain zaps!
I had an idea to put a bunch of people who are experiencing brain zaps into a room and see if the electricity goes wonky. Brain zaps are something else. Hard to describe, subjective feeling. |

Brain zaps for sure. Withdrawal from meds or the med itself can cause them. They are horrible feelings. I totally hate when they happen but I get them frequently.
