So my doctor prescribed clonidine to help me sleep as I take cymbalta and vyanse in the morning and lamictal at night. I'm a little scared though as I have normal blood pressure and I'm afraid it will drop dangerously low. My doctor never listens to me and won't give me trazadone or other sleep meds. I really want to switch doctors. Has anyone taken this drug?

My husband takes it. He was prescribed it in rehab. They said the withdrawal would cause insomnia and I thought they were crazy for giving him blood pressure medicine. I was afraid, like you, because I thought the same thing. So far(it's been about 6 months) he's been fine and it's really helped him sleep.

My son took it when he was a child but the clonidine became less effective when he became an adolescent. Never any problems with his BP
