I am worried that these new meds are bad and were created by psychiatrists out of fear. Why are the psychiatrists trying to give schizophrenics bad meds?

Nothing to worry about, for the new meds (atypical) are not only more effective but reduce negative side-effects.
Thanks for this!

I take two atypical antipsychotics , and they work great for controlling my mania. I'm not zombie like, and I have the full range of my emotions. They only side effect I have is a bit of edema in my feet, so my doctor put.my on a diuretic for that.

My meds are what keep me reasonably stable. Meds weren't created from fear, they were created to help keep people like me out of the hospital and living as a functioning individual in the world.
