I've only been on Vraylar for about 4 weeks, but I'm also having a lot of success with this drug. It really seems to have leveled out my moods and I'm not seeing a whole lot of side effects.

About the only issue I have with it is that about an hour and a half after I take it, I become so sleepy I can't keep my eyes open. That feeling passes within half an hour and then I'm wide awake. I tried taking it at night and while I'd fall asleep easily, I'd wake up in a few hours and couldn't go back to sleep. So, now I take it really early in the morning and just plan around the fact that I'm gonna feel very sleepy for half an hour or so.

Thanks for sharing BlessedRhiannon. I didn't realize it until you wrote it. me too sometimes.

I take mine in the morning first thing with fish oil and Prozac...let's not forget the Diet Coke to wash it down.

I wake up between 4-5am and sometimes I get overwhelmingly tired and take a 30-90min nap around 6-7am...twice a week lately. I thought it was my sleep and attributed it to Prozac.

Hmm, you got me thinking now. Thanks.

You're welcome. I know this is a side effect of the Vraylar for me, because it started within a day or two of starting to take the med. When I switched to taking it at night, the sleepiness stopped, but like I said, then I couldn't stay asleep.

Right now, I'm taking it at around 4:30 am when I get up to let the dogs out, then I go back to bed until 6:30 or 7 am and I sleep through the sleepiness and I'm fine.
