I've been on Nuvigil for almost 4 years, but recently my psychiatrist raised the dosage to 300mg every morning. Insurance denied it, so he went back to my original dosage (250mg) and added 20mg of methylphenidate (eqivalent to Ritalin SR) to help with the intense fatigue. Has anyone had this combination before? I am also on 375mg Effexor XR, 450mg lithium BID, 75 mcg levothyroxine, 80 mg propranolol extended release (for migraines), and a few other meds for medical issues.

I've taken both at the same time for different reasons. The nuvigil was much more effective than the methylphenidate for me.
