So now I've been on Vraylar for 2 weeks! (Seems like a lot longer). I'm feeling good. Really good. I'm able to feel more and am not as numb, and I didn't even realize that I had been numbed out...but I cried at Les Mis when Jean Valjean was dying, and I've never been a crier. Ever. The only movie that had ever made me cry was Ladder 49.

I went up to 3mg last night from 1.5mg. I was really worried about nausea because when I started taking it it made me extremely nauseous. I'm not nauseous this morning, but my stomach is a little off. It's okay though, because it's NOTHING compared to the nausea and I still feel like I can eat.

I'm hoping that when I see my pdoc in a few weeks she'll see that I'm stable enough to be taken off Zyprexa completely and just be on the Vraylar because I'm not happy about being on Zyprexa, even a low dose, and if we need to at any point we can put me back on it.
Hugs from:

Today was good. Other than the off stomach in the morning, I've been doing well. Definitely suppressed appetite though. I've eaten a smoothie, a 10 piece chicken nugget meal (medium fries and drink) and half of another smoothie, and I don't want anything else. I'll probably finish the smoothie as much as I don't want to, but even with little appetite, I have to eat something.

My stomach feels off again, but that's okay. I'm not hungry because of it though. It's bad enough that I don't want to eat, but I did get some bread with butter down. I'm just gonna keep going until the side effects go away.

Thanks! I'm really happy with it for sure! See my pdoc in a few weeks and hopefully she'll see that I'm doing well. My t will probably call her as well -- they talk all the time! (And yes, I did sign the release for them to do that...and sometimes regret it, but usually it's a good thing).

I'm just curious...when do you take your Vraylar? My pdoc originally had me taking it during the day and now for some reason he has me taking it at night. I feel like I've been hit by a Mac truck all of a sudden.

I take mine at night. I tried to take it in the morning and I felt like ****, so I changed it to night and it's much better!

I had to switch to taking it at night too. I fell asleep on a conference call and decided that maybe I should try taking it at night instead. At first I had problems staying asleep but that faded and it's fine now.
