Been on lithium for a long time. Recently my hand tremors have gotten much worse. It was time to get blood work done anyways. So last level a few months ago was 1.0. This time it jumped to 1.3. So we have to lower my dosage. Not the best time because my depression has worsened. What are other people’s experience with high lithium levels?

I had to go to the hospital for lithium toxcicity. They lowered my levels and I have been running around a .7 now. Don't worry about the depression lithium is mainly for mania you should be on something else for depression too.

My level is usually around .9. I’m due to get a draw soon. I have a script.

I have to get a level as well. I have noticed when I take it at night around 300mg my racing thoughts increase and also mania a little bit like my head feels like its on fire, I have rapid speech.
I have told my doctor I think we need to lower the dose of lithium but he says my level is too low to do that. Not sure what to make of that. |
