Hi guys, I am new here but I had to join as I really need an answer.
I began taking venlafaxine 75mg a few months back which kind of helped. The doctor upped my dosage to 150mg extended release. I was ok at first, but felt sick. Then a few days later I realised it was literally AS SOON AS I took the med (around half an hour later) I got really nauseous. I have actually been vomiting and had to have time off work (I work with food so if they know I've been throwing up I have to have 48 hours off). So then (I know this is stupid) I stopped taking it. For around five days. But my mood sunk so so low, I started taking it again today and half an hour after taking it I feel so so sick. I don't know what to do. Will this stop eventually if I carry on taking it? I can't function whilst feeling this sick, but I can't function without it! |

I will say, if you haven't tried taking it with food, that sometimes helps.
You really need to report this to your doctor. A decrease might be in order or a switch to something else. It sounds like a medical opinion is needed and no one can do that here.
