So my pdoc prescribed me Zoloft which I started on Saturday. Almost immediately I was nauseous and vomiting. So I called my regular doctor and got Zofran to help with the nausea. I cut the dose in half like he told me but I was still nauseous and couldn't eat. So yesterday I got diarrhea and was still nauseous. I ended up losing 6 pounds in less than a week. I was extremely agitated the whole time and cold and shivering. So I called him and it turns out he thinks I had too much serotonin in my system. I kind of wish I had called him sooner like my T wanted me too.

So just be careful with your meds. Serotonin Syndrome is not fun and can be fatal if it gets severe.
Thanks for this!

I have had serotonin syndrome... it is awful, and dangerous. Thank you for posting this. I know, for me at least, it is sometimes hard to call the doc when I am having "side effects"...

I learned it the hard way after having an Espresso before brunch on the same week switching to Cymbalta from Lexapro, I felt so on-the-edge for the rest of the day. I drank a lot of water and ate at a slow pace.

By the evening I worked out and sweated out a lot of fluids while hydrating myself at the same time. I know that this would speed up my metabolism and detox quickly.
