There really is a question here... liquid vitaimins... from health food stores...

1) has anyone taken them - they are very expensive.. like 32 dollars for a one month supply..

2) or does anyone have any idea how I can get more nutirents into my body?

My body won't tolerate the pill form...won't go into detail here...

I was unsure where to put this.... I am so discouraged I could cry and cry..

My eating disorder recovery is one little step at a time.. just tiny steps..

There are 7 foods that I can eat - going outside those foods.. either causes a terrible binge or my body just won't tolerate them..

So I actually took my foods into my T... because I couldn't get him to understand.. what I was talking about.. anfd he finally "got it"..

These foods represent a Huge victory for me... a huge one.. a year ago.. I wouldn't want to tell anyone what I was doing...(and I had a mild heart attack... no damage.. but my body was saying.. it's time to treat me better)

My body is worn out and exhausted.. and I think starved..

the foods I can eat
whole grain bread, natural no sugar peanut butter, tuna-salmon-oragnge roughy, apple, eggs, sweet potatoes, cottage cheese...

I can eat the fish.. a little at a time.. if I combine it with a piece of bread.. and the apple if I eat it with peanut butter.. so no spices, no pepper, no margine... nothing like that..

So recovery is hard....

It isn't that I won't eat food.... it is because.. my body is trying to recover..

so if you have any ideas of anything.. that would help me get nutirients ... I would appreciate it...

it there are some nautral foods... that might digest..

Thank you....

Have you ever tried Emergen-C? It is packets of vitamin powder that you put into water. There are many different flavors and combinations of vitamins and minerals. In a 6-8 oz. glass of water, it makes a fizzy drink that is not too sweet.

When I first started drinking it, I put a packet or two into a 32 oz. bottle of water and sipped it throughout the day. It's made a difference for me. ( I have trouble eating or finding an appetite sometimes because of my meds.)

The health food store has other nut butters? Maybe your body wouldn't mind a different nut (which would have slightly different vitamins) Or maybe you could go "sideways" and add something like creamed peas (either "smashed" or added to your cottage cheese?), relatives to peanuts to your diet?

Can your doctor prescribe any liquid vitamins that you would then know might be effective for you?

Not what you have but that the Mayo Clinic is saying nutritional suppliments/liquid vitamins are good for troubles with digestion, etc. is worth knowing to me.

Considering what you've described, freewill, you are the ideal candidate for using liquid vitamins. It is an interesting quirk of physiology, but food intolerances can be caused by, or made worse by, vitamin deficiencies. You can get into a vicious cycle of malabsorption, which prevents its own treatment. If you can, give the liquids at least a two month trial. You may then find that your food tolerance is increased.

All the best.
