I'm not sure, as I have never taken this medication. You should ask your pharmacist if your doctor is too tough to get a hold of. I hope that you can find some relief, either way.

My doctor is out but the lady on the phone said someone else is filing in for him but haven't heard back from him

I would definitely ask your doctor and not wade into the self-medication swamp. It is one of the stronger benzos, what you are taking is similar to 10mg of valium. Taking two at once might be a bit much.

IIRC, it is effective for 4-6 hours and is not something that is refillable in the same month, so you could end up suffering even more because you took the second dose so early or run out before the end of the month.

An augment like gabapentin might be a better solution, but of course that is something to talk to your doctor about.

Common Drugs and Medications to Treat Feel Like Throwing Up

A lot of those cause somnolence so I don't know how well they will react with your meds.

Ginger and Peppermint can help as well. They come in a supplement, tea, aromatherapy.

I usually deal with it by simply throwing up, that usually does the trick, but is unpleasant, especially for me because it can cause something close to a panic attack but once it is done, I am okay.

If you are allowed 2 pills a day, most people would read that as on 2 different times that day. But personally I take my full dosage ONCE a day because it fits me better. I'm pretty sure my doc would be mad if she knew, but I am allowed 4 pills a day and I take 3 at the same time. We have never talked about that they must be spaced out in time.

You are on a low dosage. A double dosage of that is very unlikely to be bad for you but IF you need to function like driving a car or anything similar to that, you don't know how you will react if you never doubled before. Wouldn't want anyone to be in a car crash or get run over by a car or something for poor reaction speed.

But also if you feel the med helped and you need more for it to feel the same, that IS building tolerance, and if you start to build tolerance it is often useful to actually back down on the med a tad for a while, than increase, to have the SAME dosage work again instead of increasing. But a doc needs to be informed.

Promethazine helps me with vomiting and it is also calming for anxiety. And less addictive than benzos.
