How was your experience while you were on it. Did it help you? What was the most bothersome side effect?

A couple of weeks, I got really restless in my head, so pdoc added risperidon, and the combo made me so ill I had to quit instantly because it could become permanent if I continued.

Yes. I have no side effects, the change for the better was pronounced, much noticed by others, much mellowed now. At 64 I am physically healthy, and hanging in here. I did try stopping a couple of times but there are withdrawal effects and I decided to wait, and perhaps wean when I stop working for good.
If I stop....working that is.

14 years for me. I tolerate it well and have no obvious side effects. I have been on and off various other meds... but I've been on Prozac since my diagnosis.

I took it for about a year without any side effects. It just didn't work for me. I took it for depression.

I'm not on Prozac, but I've been on various SSRI's (Celexa, Lexapro, Zoloft) for at least 20 years. Maybe more. Until I hit my 50's SSRI's were very helpful for me, and the side effects were minimal. Once into my 50's the SSRI's don't seem to do anything to help depression/anxiety. I'm currently tapering off Zoloft.
Thanks for this!

About 3 days.

Been getting some muscle pain and slight shortness of breath (like what I sometimes get in humid weather), which I assume is related but I'm not certain. Plan to mention it to the doctor when I see her (3 weeks), or contact her sooner if it gets worse.
