Recently the increase in the dosage of Prozac have been causing sleep disturbances. I upped the Seroquel ( that I take for insomnia) from 25 mg to 50 mg and I still wake up in the middle of the night. I"m wondering if increasing it to 75 mg or even 100 mg would help? Coz I've heard the sedative effects of Seroquel decrease with increase in dosage..

I have heard the same, that in lower doses Seroquel acts as a sleep agent. All I can tell you for sure is that I currently take 75 mg Seroquel and I sleep really well. Too well, almost...I have trouble waking up all morning. Sometimes after I get up and do morning chores I have to lie down again because I feel so tired.
Thanks for this!

Sleep disturbances are common with a dose increase of an ssri, and usually goes away after your body adjusts to the new dosage. 50 to 75 mg of seroquel should be enough for sleep. I would see if my sleep improves after a few weeks on the new dose of Prozac though.
