So after being off of Lexapro for three months (mid-November to early March), I decided to get back on it, since I have been going through depression lately, and it has been impacting my school work (haven't done school work). I know time will tell, but has anyone had experience going back on to a medication they used to be on? Did it work again? I'm afraid that it won't help like last time and then I have to experiment finding a new medication. Thanks.

hi. in my very limited experience, when I've stopped a psych drug that worked and then re-started it, the doctor had to increase the dose a bit. I don't know what that's about, or if its how things usually go, but...yeah. My experience, for what its worth.
I hope things work out well for you, btw. :-) |

I mess around with my meds a lot, stopping and starting when I feel like it. This obviously hasn't helped me at all. I tried going back on same meds before and found they didn't have the same affect anymore, perhaps I should have tried a higher dose.
I hope you have some luck going back on the lexapro

I have a lot of experience with psych meds. I have noticed that the same meds can have different results at different times in my life. For example, some meds always work, some don't, and others work differently now than they did 10 or 20 years ago.
