Hi,
I have general anxiety disorder and I take Clonopin and Ativan for that. I also have a borderline personality disorder or with impulse control problems and I've been on Lamictal for that. I want to stop the Prozac I'm on because even though it works for my anxiety some I feel like I have more angry outburst now and agitation I've never been diagnosed as schizoaffective however I have a lot of the symptoms like dysphoria and some delusions In my thinking.

I also pick and pull the hairs off my chin a lot my aunt does that too. She told me that the doctor put her on Seroquel for her skin picking but I was wondering if anybody else had agitation or delusions maybe some skin picking an impulse problems and if they tried that and it helped at all can I take it with my lamictal cause that helps

Thanks

I have PTSD and a mood disorder and I take lamictal at night. I was taking seroquel at night for insomnia but I found it was too sedating so now I'm trying Gabapentin at night.

Seroquel helps me a lot with sleep and stuff but not much with picking. I know there are some other antidepressants that are recommended more for compulsive/agitation type stuff. Luvox maybe? Zoloft? Are you sure it's the Prozac causing the outbursts?

I'm not sure but it seems that Prozac is great for paranoid thoughts OCD depression but antidepressants do nothing for the picking. I'm starting on Seroquel today to see if that helps.

My husband constantly pulls out his eyebrows. Sometimes he gets tiny bald spots that makes him look like a drunk plucked his lashes. He goes to the pdoc tomorrow, I'm going to tell him to bring it up. Sorry to hear about your issue, glad to know my husband isn't the only facial hair picker!

Seroquel works great for delusions, and it can be calming. I take it with lamictal and it works well.
