Through a variety of screwups on pdoc's, pharmacy's and my parts, I managed to go 4 days without my Effexor. Mercifully, somehow this time I managed to avoid the brain zaps, but my sleep got screwed up in nothing flat, and then I had this gargantuan meltdown that came out of nowhere and is still affecting my mood. the speed of Effexor XR withdrawal Do you think 4 days off would be enough to have caused it all?

I am wary of the Effexor withdrawal horror stories and the only other time in the 7-8 years I've been on it that I've gone off cold turkey is when I was hospitalized with a critical physical illness and they thought the psych meds might be causing it. I was so sick with other stuff that I didn't really notice I was missing the psych meds for several weeks (though I sure did notice the brain zaps!).

Just curious.
