Today is day 2 on Vyvance and I really love it! I feel focused, not fidgety or anxious at all. In fact, whereas usually I have a breakdown at work about 1nc a day, both days I've been in good moods! I'm motivated and able to finish tasks. Has anyone been on this medication long term? I'm nervous I will build a tolerance and be back to my low mood swings and anxiety. Is it normal for Vyvance to help with anxiety?

Thanks!
Thanks for this!

I've been on it for several months. No problems with it so far.

Uhm, there may be tolerance issues which is normal. Your Dr will up your dosage accordingly

hi. im glad vyvanse is working so well for you and covering so many bases. i seem to recall reading that amphetamines can sometimes have a beneficial effect on anxiety, in some people. antipsychotics--major tranquilizers--block dopamine. these drugs are sometimes used for anxiety, but they can also make anxiety a lot worse in some people. so...yes, amphetamines can help anxiety. my guess would be that its secondary to brightening your mood.

anyway, some people take periodic breaks from stimulants so they don't require dosage increases. other people stabilize at a certain dose. i had a friend with very bad add/adhd, and his doctor would only go up to 40mgs/adderall, but added other things to it to get the effect he needed over the long haul.

i hope things continue going well for you.
