I've been taking both, and I feel that the Valproic Acid is causing Acid Reflux.
I try to eat with the dosage, and even when I do, it still hurts.

Anyone feeling this too?

My dad was on a medication that caused severe acid reflux... it's not Depakote, it's actually a blood pressure medication... but he actually had to go on acid reflux medication b/c the blood pressure pills were working so well the doctor didn't want him to have to discontinue.... so he ended up on this med for acid reflux and it worked great...

If eating something is not helping and neither is drinking a lot of water, talk to your doctor about it. Also, take a look at what other stuff you are eating and/or drinking. Make sure you are keeping your acid intake low-- limit orange juice, tomato sauce, etc.

It's very common for a medication to cause acid reflux but it's really uncomfortable, too.... I have acid reflux disease so I'm always getting it no matter what. I know how bothersome it can be.

As far as Lexapro, I used to take it-- it caused some mild nausea but I did not feel that it contributed to my acid reflux.
