Hi, my insurance is fixing to mess us up big time not paying anything till we reach $4000 bucks out of pocket medical expenses I can't afford Lamictal with out ins. helping. The drugiest says there isn't a generic form but my pdoc says there is but it is small doses which i don't mind taking several 25mg pills. I have only been on it a few months and it seems to be helping me a lot. But will have to stop taking it if there isn't a generic. Does anyone know who is right?
Thanks
Terri

Glaxo has some sort of assistance, I can't remember what it is, but it is some kind of discount offer of some sort.
Maybe someone reading this can supply you with info on this, or you can try their website.
I found the info. under Lamictal.com, google www.Lamictal.com
maybe something there will be of help in affording the medication?

I don't know about Lamictal having a generic drug, but if you go to places like Walmart or Target they generally have prescriptions for alot less than your average pharmacy.

Depending on the drug, though, may be problematic.....
anyway, good luck.

This is a great drug for mania.

GlaxoSmithKline has a program callled "Bridges to access". I was on it for a year and received my Lamical for free. I don't know if you would qualify though, if you have medical coverage. Check it out though, if you get approved its free meds for a year!
