Since Im taking Effexor (almost 2 weeks) I feel like I dont love my boyfriend anymore and it disturbs me because I feel nothing, I dont like to kiss him anymore.
I loved him and everything was fine with us except some conflicts but now I feel numb.
I feel numb about any other things in my life.

Do you think its because of this med? Anyone else has experience like this?
I hope its just a side effect and will end soon, I feel really bad but I could say I simply feel nothing at all.

How are you responding to music? I was on Effexor and it, like other snri's and ssri's having a chilling numbing effect that i don't think I'd want to live with. What's the point of life if you can't feel? The only thing worse than depression is feeling nothing at all. My doctor thought it was the trade off i'd have to make, feeling nothing, it's called anhedonia (an (no) hedonia (pleasure) = no pleasure, so that i don't have anxiety and panic attacks. But to feel nothing at all? I think that's no way to live... Meds react to different people differently.

I looked on your profile and it says your primary concern is panic. Have you tried gabapentin? Sometimes a mood stabilizer can crush it. If you only have one panic attack a day then why not a Xanax? I know youd build tolerance, but you only live once.

I'm sorry your going through this. It's like a purgatory. I think you should see your doctor and hight him/her on this. Meds should act like make up. It should conceal your problems but not be noticable.

I’m going through the exact same thing. It’s not med related though but it’s from depression. It’s like I have this gut feeling so bad that it makes me sick. Feeling like that flame is burned out. Then the next day I’m in love again. You’re not alone there. Not sure if it’s from your meds or if you’re depressed but I hope you feel better and get true realization in your relationship. ((Hugs))
