I am sick and I have post nasal drip, pressure in my head, a runny nose and every time I make sudden movement I get pain in my head and my teeth rattle and it hurts.
I am out of NyQuil and I might try mucinex. Is that what would be best for my symptoms? I am wondering if there is a med interference? I am on: Lamictal, Geodon, propalanol, Ativan and seasonal. I also took my visteral a couple of times. Although I took it on Wed and it made me so tired I could barely stand and struggled to make it through my 7 hour shift. |

I went to the pharmacy.
I guess a lot of stuff interferes with my propalanol. She told me to take Allegra. It seems to have made the symptoms worse. I can’t breathe through my nose because it’s so stuffed up. I wasn’t even having a stuffed nose. It was pretty much just post nasal drip now. |

I'm on a slew of meds and it seems like all cold meds interact badly with Celexa, citalopram, so I'm not allowed to take any cold meds. The only things I'm allowed are a saline nasal spray and this weird herbal cough syrup that's made from Ivy. Surprisingly it works.
You really have to be careful with med interactions. splitimage |

I'm on Lamictal and have been on Ativan at the same time. I am on different meds now with the Lamictal. However, I have taken Mucinex many times, without any problem.
As others here stated though, it is always good to check medication interactions. Calling a pharmacist doesn't take long and is probably best. |

I wish I could get some releif. I’m swallowing huge mouthfuls of mucus and it’s so vile I literally feel like I’m swallowing some kind of infection. I’ve tried eating something. It only works for a few minutes. I’ve tried cinnamon and honey tea. There’s also this smell coming out of my chest or something. I also blew my nose and there was some blood. It’s driving me crazy.

Go to a Dr. You may have a sinus infection. There are prescription nasal sprays that contain steroids that are amazing - they're kind of expensive, 60 in Ontario, but worth it in my opinion. I was able to take it with no problem with my meds.
