Hi. I have been on Venlafaxine ER for some time now. I have always been given capsules. The last refill, I was given Tablets. I researched them and they are indeed Venlafaxine ER. Here's the thing. They have a coating on them and I know they are supposed to dissolve but I am pretty sure they are not. I had one come out via my feces this morning. I got gloves and recovered it. It wasn't just the shell, it was the entire tablet. There was powder on the inside. So, none of the medicine got to where it was supposed to go. I know it's kind of gross, but I've been in the medical field for years and it's pretty hard to gross me out.
Any similar things happen to anyone? Any suggestions? |

I know exactly what tablets you mean. That is very peculiar. They would have done something about it if every patient experienced it.
Maybe your digestive system works so quickly that it could not dissolve? Not trying to say the problem is you..I just cannot think of anything else. __________________ Tic-Tac |

This morning when I took it, I let the coating dissolve in my mouth a little bit before swallowing. Thanks for the reply.
