I’m 8 days into my switch from Paxil to Prozac. I did a straight switch no tapering. I feel awful and anxious and like I’m about to break at any moment and become insane. I was on Prozac for 1.5 years then It stopped working. Over the last year we have been doing some trial and error with lexapro which wasn’t great and Paxil which I can’t stand. I was on Paxil for 1 month 20mg and my dr said that I could have been off Prozac long enough that my tolerance is gone and It could work again since I had the best luck with Prozac. I feel like it’s a side effect of Paxil withdrawal but my dr suggested switching to Zoloft. I’m afraid to try another medicine. Should I continue to stick this out and see if the Prozac takes affect?

Have you thought on trying another type of AD?

The ones you have named work in a pretty similar way.

Maybe a SNRI or a tricyclic could help you?
