I take fluvoxamine. I have had a good experience with it. I'm treatment resistant, so I also take bupropion in the morning, and the combo works most of the time. My dosing needs to change a little, for effectiveness, but I haven't noticed any weight gain due to the meds.

i think its just not as popular as the other ssri drugs. here in the us, it was only fda-approved for ocd, so that definitely limited its popularity a good bit.
if i remember, it has more drug-drug interactions than some other ssri drugs, so try to be aware of that. good luck. |

It was the only SSRI that helped me at all. Still crazy is right about its popularity, or lack of; it doesn't really have much to do with its effectiveness. I did end up dropping it when there was some concern of serotonin syndrome with all my drugs. The hospital was more than doubtful about the diagnosis, though my psychiatrist was fairly sure. So I certainly wouldn't worry too much about that since, as I say, I was taking a lot of drugs.
