Fetzima?

Does anyone take or have taken Fetzima? Pdoc put me on it a month ago for my severe anxiety and haven't had any positive results yet.

I've tried Effexor and Pristiq. I have also played around with Wellbutrin (NRI). I don't like SNRI's because the withdrawal coming off can be horrible. Effexor XR withdrawal I went through six times going on and off the med and it was the worst choice ever to start it up because the brain zaps/brain shocks/brain chills/whatever...they suck the worst and it was chronic zaps for like 6 days before I felt better. I was the most depressed I'd probably ever been coming off Effexor that many times. Fetzima is a newer SNRI I discussed trying with my doctor, but I find they make my anxiety worse and OCD worse/trichitilomania all worse so I just sort of gave up with that category. Ironically, amphetamines don't give me nearly the anxiety SNRI's do, which is weird because I'm Dx with OCD/ADHD.

I tried it, it didn't help me, but neither did the almost 20 other meds that I tried (treatment resistant depression).

Have you found any help?

Honestly, not much from meds. Pdoc had me on a cocktail of meds, trying to ease my symptoms. 5 mg Abilify helped dampen down the suicidal stuff. Xanax helps with suicidal stuff and agitation-but it is addictive.

Therapy has helped; for me, the body based things like Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, brain spotting work best.

I've got over 10 years of trying to find a med and still no luck. Therapy hasn't worked either though I've never tried EMDR.

Gave me brain zapping very unpleasant . Ditched it after a month.
