Hello!
I was wondering if anyone else has experience with vascular lesions as it's correlated with behavioral or emotional regulation issues. Specifically I'm wondering about frontal lobe lesions. I know, oddly specific? About 10 years ago, I had two seizures within a month of each other, so I got a bunch of tests done. One of them was an MRI of my noggin, which showed vascular dead spots on each side of my frontal lobe. They were about the size of a nickel each. I've had this nagging thought that a lot of my behavioral issues might be caused by that. The neurologist was condescending, and insulted me at least once or twice, so I don't really trust him or his judgement at all. He said that they were clinically insignificant. A couple of weeks ago, I was talking to a psychiatrist about the MRI and he said that the spots may definitely play a part in my mental illness. Would it be worth getting a referral to a neurologist to make sure there isn't anything else weird going on? |

Sure, I think seeing a neurologist could be helpful.

Therapy with a neuropsychologist might also be helpful for dealing with the MI resulting from the damage. Or at least understanding it better. If you go to a neurologist, you might want to ask him about it.

I have some lesions but it could be my migraines or something like that I’ve had MRIs and they come back clear I just have to check back every once in awhile to make sure everything is okay.
