I’m on day 10 of switching from Paxil to Prozac. I feel much better today but noticed I feel extremely hyper. Is this normal? I don’t recall this last time I was on Prozac. Could this wear off? The first 9 days were hell of anxiety and depression.

psych drugs are...kind of unpredictable. the shrinks i've had all say the same thing: wait it out. take a benzodiazepine, take a gabapentin, whatever. but really...

its up to you. i mean, its your life, your body. you're not in a mental hospital. it could go away. one downside with Prozac is the long half life. that makes tapering easier, but it could also mean some lingering problems -if- it builds up to steady state and you have adverse effects going on.

sorry. im not trying to be a debbier downer, but...a lot of "modern psychiatric treatment" is just fancy, over-priced guess work.
