Please help. I was on Ritalin for about two years for treatment resistant depression and it worked; does anyone have positive experiences with stimulants for depression?

I use them to help me stay awake all day. I use Jornay now. I tried Focalin before and it worked but if I forgot the second dose I would have trouble staying up but it was too close to bedtime to take it.

Just a question: if the Ritalin worked, why did you stop taking it? I know there could be a multitude of reasons, but could you go back to Ritalin? I don't have any personal experience with stimulants working for my depression (though I have taken Vyvanse before for trying to treat my negative symptoms of schizoaffective disorder). I don't think they really did anything for me.
Also, what about antidepressants? You didn't mention that in your post, so I wonder if you've tried any? I'm assuming you have since you said you had treatment-resistant depression. __________________ "Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it!” |

My psychiatrist put me back on Ritalin yesterday. I'm relieved, but so sad and worried about how I'm going to have a baby one day. |
