With the meds I am currently on, I am pretty much okay.

I do however experience very sudden and 'powerful' intrusive thoughts from time to time.

Is there something one can take to help that? Like taking something when you feel panicky or just other anxiety in general.

I took seroquel when that happened.

hi. especially with lithium on board, I'd be careful w/ tranquilizers/"antipsychotics." tardive dyskinesia isn't the only risk...ocd, social withdrawal, apathy, anhedonia can happen, too. I noticed that when my doctor reduced my Abilify from a whopping 30mgs down to a more reasonable 20, my "ocd" simmered down a good bit. I think Abilify might be worse than some other tranqs in that regard, but I've known people w/ similar "issues" on other "atypicals," so...yeah. there's that.

and then...there's ativan. i like it more than Klonopin (it acts faster, too), and it has a better reputation than xanax.

hope this helps.

If I can't get my hands on heroin. Abilify has been great for intrusive thoughts for me. In a pinch xanax works well.

I am not sure there is a med for intrusive thoughts.

Theoretically, either an AP, something like Seroquel or a benzo. might be helpful. Out of these two, I would choose a benzo, yet would still be very concerned about sedation.

I have not tried heroin (yet).
