I am going off of a high dose (120mg) of cymbalta and going on to trintellix. I don't really want to hear horror stories, but I don't really know what to expect.

Any advice or experience would be appreciated. I normally tolerate meds well, so don't expect it to be too bad.

I am down to 30 mg cymbalta and starting 10mg trintellix today.

Thats great! I am hopeful you won't experience any withdrawal from the Cymbalta if you have gotten this far!

If you are already down to 30 MG from 120 MG, I doubt you'll experience much with the Cymbalta.
Thanks for this!

No idea of what you'll experience but wishing you well.

Surprisingly having minimal withdrawal so far anyway.

I guess I will transition easily.

I know I'm a little late to the party here but I've only been on Trintellix for about a week and half so I was wondering what your experience has been?

I made the mistake of taking it in the morning for a couple of days as the pharmacist told me and I was a walking zombie. Now I've got some stomach troubles and I'm a little tired and spacy even taking it at night but it's better.

Quite honestly, I had the same issues you are having. Brain fog, upset stomach, etc. I took it for a month and decided it wasn't for me. I tapered off per doc's directions and started zoloft and feel much better now.

My advice to you would be to take it a couple of weeks and if the unpleasant effects don't go away, talk to your doc and maybe switch to something else.

I was on 120 mg. of Cymbalta for a year or two. I decided to go off when my health insurance changed & my out-of-pocket cost skyrocketed! I went in to see my pdoc about it & he suggested a reduction schedule that took me off over the course of 2 weeks. I thought this was very fast. But, since that was what he recommended, I went with it. And I don't recall ever having any serious issues. I haven't taken anything since then.

Skeez, I tapered only a week, so when I started trintellix I didn't know if I felt weird from that or withdrawal. I persevered...and took trintellix long enough to know I didn't like it. I gave it the old college try! Lol
