My p-doc gave me this new prescription last night. Has anyone here taken it? What dose? Positive/Negative effects?

I've been through a few stablizers and one anti-psychotic and it hasn't been good getting on or off of any of them.

I also take Prozac and Adderall so it is tough to find the right balance.

I started 100mg last night and she said I can go up to 300mg per night until our next visit which is later in December.

I guess it depends upon why you are trying it?

I have problems with most meds I try.

I took Neurontin for 3 months as an anti anxiety medicine in lieu of benzos.

Did NOTHING for me, and I am back on the klonopin

I took it for several years, an add-on to other meds for depression. It gave me the most wonderful, restful sleep and I loved it for that alone.

I think I started at 200mg and went to 600mg.

Thanks! I'm up to 200mg and feel okay. It isn't making me that sleepy for some reason and I wake up off and on at night. but then again, meds act weird with me. adderall makes me sleepy...figure that out!

I'm taking this as a mood stablizer and lamictal, topamax and seroquel are out for various reasons.
