I'm not aware of Zoloft causing weight loss, but that doesn't mean it can't. It's always possible there is another reason for your symptoms too. It's best to check with the doctor.

Here's the Zoloft web site for more info.

girlN,

Years ago when I was taking zoloft, the doctor said that weight loss and weight gain were side effects of the medication. To this day I don't know how a medication can have both possible side effects and I always get the weight gain.

I have taken Zoloft on and off for a year.

It always caused weight loss and shaking hands.

Personally, I don't like it so, once again I have stopped taking it.

Hi all, I tried zoloft and Louvox and both had back side effects, they gave me panic attacks, I was worse on them.

The doc said that I should continue and give them a few more weeks as Zoloft was a great drug. I couldn't get pass the first week, side effects were intolerable.

I wish I experienced weight loss with Zoloft! I've not lost any weight and the only side effect I've experienced from it is diarrhea. I was on a low dose 50mg and now on 100mg.
