I’m on Xanax and I also started an antibiotic yesterday. I just took a Xanax now and I feel very, sick to my stomach. I asked the pharmacist if the two would interact, and he was an ***, and was rude and in a hurry and said “no” and just shoved my prescription at me without putting it in a bag and then walked off.

Should I be concerned? Are benzos and antibiotics known to interact? Is there anything I can do to alleviate my discomfort?

Not that I know of. Could it be the antibiotic that's causing the nausea?
Thanks for this!

I've been on antibiotics and Xanax together and never had a problem.

What a rude chemist. Hope you can go elsewhere next time. Feel better soon.
