First two days taking 10mg in the morning weren't bad just my normal high anxiety at times. Last night was real rough, though. Had extreme anxiety in the evening with a different twist, I felt almost not myself, I felt out of it..hard to explain. Anyways, I called my pdoc this morning to see if I can switch to the night time before bed. I explained what happened yesterday. He said it was fine but wanted to prescribe me 0.50mg tablets of klonopin and to break them in half to take an hour before I take the prozac at night.

Umm boring be careful and in my op do not increase the dose of Klonopin Actually I feel only and this is now appertaining prn Any pams that affect GABA and the release of Glutamate must be taken into consideration. As eventually drugs that effect GABA receptors will eventually you are losing a battle in your brain. Sorry to be so abrupt but my mind goes and I think you should.....Talk to your pdoc If you want to talk more with mea about this and these meds. Just pm me Don't worry about the skviees!

.25 mg of clonazepam is a very low dose. One problem with that class of meds, is that physical dependence and tolerance can develop, causing you to need more to come get the same anti-anxiety effects, and they can be hard to come off of.

My adivice is to take it strictly as prescribe and reevaluate after a few weeks to see if you still need it.

That being said, I took clonazepam at a much higher dose for over 20 years with abusing it, and am now in the process of tapering off it. We're doing a very slow taper, so that I don't have bad withdrawal effects.

Day 4 on Prozac - Doc just added 0.25 klonopin - Thoughts?

Looks like you're getting depersonalization/derealization from the Prozac.

I don't know whether or not that it will get better long term. You should ask the psychiatrist if dissociation goes away with the longer you take the SSRI.

The 0.25mg of Klonopin should help you for a short time while the Prozac takes effect.

Not uncommon for Prozac to do this. It usually abates w time.

Hugs.
