I accidently took double doses of lexapro two days recently and am now short two days. I have four pills left and four days to go til i can get more. I was told it was better to take only one pill a day(instead of my normal two) til then. Does this seem right? Im supposed to take two. My brain has been pretty confused and im in an ugly place right now but i want to do whatever the best thing is at this point. Lets just pretend calling and telling them isnt an option.

That seems about right shaymus, but to be certain call up either your doctor of pharmacist and double check.

How are you keeping track of your meds? I would jot it down somewhere or use one of those dispensers.
I made sure I didn't goof because I've gone through withdrawl before. Withdrawl was awful. Sometimes I'd keep a few extra pills in case I lost the others. Who said taking only one pill a day instead of your normal two was better. Was that your doc? |

Shaymus - If there is no way that you can ask the pharmacist to fill your prescription two days early, then you will have to take one tablet a day, until you can pick up your refill of Lexapro™ (escitalopram).
Watch for signs and symptoms of serotonergic withdrawl syndrome: flu-like symptoms, lightheadedness, nausea, headache, jitteriness, etc. I hope that this helps. - Cam "I cannot but fear that the expectation of great advantage from the new method of treating dieases will prove a delusion. That delusion may however in some cases be of use while it lasts" - Benjamin Franklin (1784) ![]() |
