I am living beyond terrified. I am completely paralyzed with fear and unable to function at all. I have tried everything basically and nothing helps. I am in a constant state of horrific panic all day every day. My anxiety and depression are extremely severe even though I am on several meds.

I feel so afraid, hopeless, desperate, and helpless that I am thinking about asking my psychiatrist for the most powerful sedatives and tranquilizers because it is absolutely impossible for me to feel any better. I cannot do anything anymore. I cannot fight this anymore. It has been 17 years and now I am 48. I am exhausted.

The psych ward is a huge waste and joke and it does not even help at all.

I see no other escape besides the powerful sedative and tranquilizers or ending me. Such vicious anxiety and depression.

I replied to you on another thread. I understand how you feel. I've requested (begged for) meds that are "heavy hitters" but have never had a therapist who would prescribe a high dose of an antipsychotic (also used for severe anxiety). None of the many pdocs I've seen would diagnose more than a conservative dose. One concern is tardive dyskinesa. BUT you could certainly obtain relief from a moderate antipsychotic dose. Do you have a psychiatrist?

Yes I have a psychiatrist. He seems very knowledgeable and competent and I believe he may be able to help me. He is just extremely busy so waiting to talk to him again.

My psychiatrist was supposed to speak with me today but he kept delaying and now it has been 5 hours and still no call from him even though his assistant kept reminding him. Ugh. I just cannot tolerate the damn mental health system. They need to stop spending millions of dollars in so much outer space exploration and maybe instead find effective solutions for the mental health patients on our own planet first.

I agree.

Please do call again tomorrow. I've found that the words "I need help" make it clear to mental health providers that you are really in need of help.
