I guess if you have tried everything else, and nothing is working (including psychotherapy) then you could try it.

I think it's really too much "drug" for anxiety, imo. I've listened to MS patients talk about it's nastiness in far too many support group meetings to not say this to you.

You don't have to share, but I would definitely make sure (if I were you) as to WHY the doctor is removing you from medicines esp. if they have been working for you, to try neurontin.

Good wishes.

Hi,
I take Neurontin for anxiety and swear by the stuff. I have no side effects whatsoever and never did. It has a huge therapeutic dose range which is an added benefit. I would recommend you give it a try.

Of course, I agree with Sky that it is just as important to be in therapy to find out the "why" to your anxiety.
Best,
Okie

neurontin/gabopentin Good to hear. (I had terrible side effects from this drug, but wasn't taking it for anxiety anyway. )

I agree too. Psychotherapy is a must (and so interesting, too!).

I used Neurontin for a few years and I loved it. I took it at night and had the best sleep ever with no 'hangover' effect. I had no side effects from it.
